Scenario: Your stimulator appears to be correctly attached to the patient and its output set at 60mA, yet you are not seeing a patient response. Stimulator malfunction?...Low battery?...Poor patient contact? Introducing MultiStim VARIO, a nerve stimulator that reports a successful or failed "full circuit". In addition, MultiStim VARIO continuously monitors and reports the numeric value of current actually flowing through the patient and visually alerts you when this value differs from the selected value. Diagnose problems quicker, easier.

By pressing the patient button, the actual current flowing through the patient is displayed on the LCD panel. In instances where selected current and actual current through patient agree, an equal sign ( = ) appears to the left of the numeric current value. Otherwise, an unequal sign appears, and the patient button is pressed to reveal the actual current value flowing through the patient.
Pause Function: Puts the stimulator on "HOLD" (although no stimulation occurs, the LCD continues to display selected current) during which time any of the parameters can be changed while stimulator remains connected to the patient. Touching the PAUSE button again restarts the stimulator to deliver current and program at original setting - or revised setting reflecting any changes made. In addition, Pause Function allows for decreased battery usage.
MultiStim Vario can be set to any of four impulse width values: 0.1ms, 0.3ms, 0.5ms and 1.0ms. (Cable must be attached to stimulator to alter this setting.)
MultiStim Vario provides all stimulation impulse patterns and frequencies required for Neuro-muscular monitoring: Tetanus (50Hz and 100Hz), Double Burst, Train of Four.
